The Route

Join us as we walk together in solidarity and support from Centennial Square to the Legislative Lawn in Victoria, BC. We'll gather at Centennial Square at 4:00 PM before departing as a group, with the event concluding at approximately 6:00 PM.

Why We Walk

December 6 is the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women in Canada. It marks the anniversary of the 1989 killing of fourteen women at Montréal's École Polytechnique, and it is a day to remember all the women and girls lost to violence.

In Victoria, WEAVE and its member organizations invite you to walk with us to honour survivors and the lives lost within our communities, and to call for the action that keeps women safe.
